''Tulokulma'': Freedom of speech in Finland
as seen by people with immigrant backgrounds
The supplement ''Tulokulma'' in Voima magazine 8/2025 was created as part of Vikes’ mentoring program for journalists with immigrant backgrounds. Over the course of a year, the writers of “Tulokulma” have familiarized themselves with Finnish journalistic practices and professional skills together with the journalists who mentored them.
The appendix examines issues related to freedom of speech, integration, and social inclusion from the perspective of foreign-language journalists. The articles encourage readers to consider how public discourse could also reach those whose native language is not Finnish.
