The Ministry\u2019s funding requires that the organization also contributes its own share to development cooperation financing. This own funding share (10%) is covered, for example, through donations, support fees from partner organizations, and other fundraising activities. Every euro donated to Vikes is multiplied tenfold thanks to the Ministry\u2019s program support.   <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Use of donations<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Donations are used to support Vikes\u2019 work in <a href=\"https:\/\/vikes.fi\/en\/our-work-in-finland\">Finland<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/vikes.fi\/en\/our-work-around-the-world\">partner countries<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li>In 2024, we trained 660 journalists together with 14 partner organizations. We raise funds to support our work\u2014promoting freedom of expression\u2014using diverse methods. <\/li>\n<li>All funds received are used as planned and responsibly. Donors are clearly informed about the use of funds, and fundraising results are regularly monitored. Our operations follow good governance practices and build long-term relationships with supporters.  <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul><\/ul>\n<p><strong>Data protection<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>We collect and process personal data only for necessary purposes, such as event management and sending newsletters. Data is stored securely and only for as long as needed. Individuals have the right to access, correct, and delete their data, as well as to file a complaint with the Data Protection Authority.
